Our Vision for Newtownards Road

A Local Action Group convened by EastSide Partnership has been working to shape a community vision for the Newtownards Road in east Belfast. The Local Action Group includes representation from community and statutory agencies, local residents and business, and elected members.

The approach has been based on the Department for Communities Ministerial Advisory Group ‘Living High Streets’ process of engagement through a community led co-design approach to placemaking.

The emerging vision for Newtownards Road seeks to put in place an action plan for the future, focussed on bringing people together to further improve the road, one step at a time.

Join us on Wednesday 27th November as we launch the plan and present the key findings.

The launch will begin with refreshments and networking at 11.30am and formally commence at 12pm with presentations from;

- Department from Communities Minister Gordon Lyons

- Belfast City Council Director City Regeneration and Development Cathy Reynolds

- Paul Hogarth Company James Hennessy

- EastSide Partnership Neighbourhood Renewal Coordinator Stevie Johnston

As well as a panel of practitioners working in the area, sharing insights from different perspectives.
